Doing good in school can be rewarding!

Some of you may know I'm studying in DLS-CSB with the course of Fashion Design and Merchandising! I transfered from UST just because the course I got there just isn't for me at all! and I'm just not used to the surroundings there and the people. During my stay in CSB... Im on my 4th term already as i remember correctly. and so far I got to be a deans lister for 2 terms! It feels very rewarding after all your hard work paid off! It was frustrating at first just because people think when you're in CSB you have to be a DL automatically cause its easy to study there. But it really isn't that easy. You still have to really study to get the grade you want. People also think that CSB's students are dumb, They are not. Some of them just isn't focused on studying just yet, but they come around eventually. They have really talented students there that are very good in their respective fields.

For the first term that I had there, I was almost a DL but because of 1 subject that I got a 2.0 I didn't meet the requirements to be a DL... :( the second term, I got mostly 2.5's and so my average this time didn't make the cut. But for the third term since I'm starting on design foundation subjects! I made it through!!! I got exactly a 3.0 average for the term and i was so happy!

here's my grades breakdown:

And finally the recent term that I had, it was a good term taking up my final design foundation subjects and will be off to my majors next term! I got an average of 3.25 this term and was happy!! This term was very stressful because of all the requirements needed but i got through it!

It keeps me motivated to study harder seeing these kinds of results and I think that most people also would be. It isn't about doing it for other people but for yourself as well. Learning is really fun especially when you love what you're learning and what I'm learning here, some Im not really fond of like photoshop and video editing, drawing and stuff but at the end of the term I have learned to love it and also did a good job with it! As my profs point out that I have the talent for art. So I think we should just give everything a chance and also give ourselves a chance to excel!

Goodluck to everyone for the next term! especially to me! I get to take 4th year classes which is scaring the crap out of me because Im still a sophomore. :/

My Christmas Wishlist!

Christmas is literally just around the corner and I'm so excited for the gifts I'll be receiving! I'm not quite the food person so it doesn't excite me as much to eat some lechon and stuff this holiday season.
As I'm getting older... There has been a decline in gifts that I have been receiving which SUCKS! But none the less, I still make sure I get the things that I've been eyeing on this Christmas season! may it be from myself or my family! I've created this Christmas Wishlist just so I would know what I've been wanting and what I've been getting already! :) I hope you could find some interesting stuff too!

The first one that I've been wanting since the first time i passed by it is a little bit of a splurge but I WILL get my hands on these soon!!! so it's the Kate Spade 2 Park Avenue small Beau Bag!

From Topshop: I'd like the following:

JONI JEANS in this light blue color.

Disco Pants in black, I already have a blue one but it's soooo hard to wear... :(

My Little Pony Cheeky Pants (which i already have)

LUSH Body wash in Snow Fairy  (this was a gift from my sister) I love the bubblegum scent of it just like Lush's Snow Fairy magic wand!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh  ( Since I already have the Daisy Eau de Toilette I want to have another one! )

Marc Jacobs Honey Eau De Parfum 1.0 oz

Pacsun Sunflower Dress (which i already got myself, but it's not really from Pacsun because we don't have that here in our country... I just got mine at an online store at a very good price and quality)
A small bag that i can use in school when I got nothing to bring really.... (because we draw/paint on sketchpads and canvasses not read books and write on notebooks)
Aaaand I got this one from Terranova because they were having a sale!!! It's such a cool bag just because It says HI on the front and BYE on the back!

Jeffery Campbells Litas I got this already but mine's from wholesale7.net (which is an online store from China) so it's a knock off but it was such a great deal!!!

Cable Knit Sweater in White ( i found some in Terranova and they were on sale! the branch in Robinsons Manila has a wide selection)

Plaid Pants that I found in ZARA kids (they can fit adults with the size 13-14)

IPhone (I dont care if its a 4s, 5s or 5c)

CÉLINE Black Leather Luggage Tote Bag (small)

A knock off will do since I don't think I'll use it all the time...

FINALLY a 2014 planner! (i'm in the hunt of a cute new planner that i can use for the next year!)

I think that would be enough for this year!! :) and i really do hope to get all of these till early next year... aside from the Kate Spade Bag... I'll probably be waiting for 2 more years, just because I dont want to spend my own money for it... :( I don't think they'll still have it by then. how sad..

Richenna Bubble Hair color in Golden Blonde. -review

It's been 3 months since i've ombre-d my hair and i'm getting a little bored with it so when i remembered that we have purchased this bubble hair color monthe ago... I've decided to give it a shot, just because bubble hair colors are really weak specially when you have dark hair. but since I already have a light brown ombre, I figured this will work on me! here's what's inside the box...

It has:
  • Colorant 50g
  • Developer 50g
  • An empty pump container for mixing
  • A pair of gloves and a sheet of cape
  • Henna Therapy Condition
  • Instructions
I just mixed the colorant and the developer in the empty pump container... I only applied the foam to the latter part of my hair just because it's no use to apply it on the top part because my hair is really black.

I waited for 45 min to be sure, even though the instructions says only 20min... It's just bubble hair color so i don't think it would do much damage... :)

I washed my hair twice with shampoo and used the conditioner included in the box. The smell was really strong! and it wasn't a pleasant odor as well... but in any case, here's the end product after i dried my hair.

My hair was already light brown to start with, and for myself, i didn't see any difference than what my hair used to be like, but my mom said my ombre now can easily notice... It guess it added a little hint of 'gold-ness' to my hair. :)

Skirts are IN!

Since the "release" of skater skirts earlier this year, everyone was all about wearing them! They come in different colors and textures as well so everyone can have their own according to their preferences. At school, a day wouldn't even go by without I seeing someone in a skirt.

For this post, I just would like to point out the essential types of skirts that I think are the must-haves despite all the other designs going on for the skirts. :)

First off is of course the ever so popular Skater Skirt.

I picked the color black just because it's the most versatile and everyone just needs a black skirt before they go explore on other colors. :) I got this for only 250php and with the thick cotton fabric that it has, I got my money's worth for sure!

Next is the Velvet Skirt.

This was the very first skirt that i bought since the fad started and at first i really wanted the black one, but then I've decided to try out this bluish gray color and so far I'm loving it! (Romwe has the same type of skirt in the same color) I got this for 400php.

Next we have the PLEATHER SKIRT.

I love this skirt because of the color which is an oxblood type of shade. This is a very short skirt that i need to wear thick leggings just so my butt wouldn't be exposed for the world to see. But anyhow it still works for me. Just don't wear these types of skirts during a hot weather because your stomach area will surely sweat. I got this for 300php.

The last thing that i have in my closet is the PRINTED SKIRT.

Since i have the basic essentials in skirts, I've decided to try the printed ones! I was instantly drawn to this skirt just because the flowers look so fresh and nice. I also love the color of this skirt. It has a very silky material that just feels nice on your skirt. This is also a short skirt but you could get away with just wearing something underneath. :) This was 250php.

I want to add this up just quickly, even though i don't have it in my closet YET, i think this is also a must have skirt, and it is the DENIM SKIRT.

This is no ordinary denim skirt that you see people usually wear just because the shape is somewhat similar to an A-line type of skirt and as i remember Topshop is the one who popularize this. I'll probably go with this light washed kind of denim skirt and I'm looking at Wholesale7 to buy one. :) it is $7.69 at wholesale7 compare to Topshop's £20.00...

EASIEST DIY to spice up your phone case!

I bought my phone a few months back and it was then a new release so it was very hard to buy a cute phone case with cute designs like iPhones do... I settled for a simple pink jelly case then. but when i saw Aryanna Epperson's instagram and she posted about using 'washi tapes', i thought it was awesome to try it out myself!!

I used this 'washi tapes' that i got from Regina's (near kamiseta, shoppesville, greenhills) and it was about 29php only as i remember... or was it 39php. but anyhow it was still very cheap! and they also got other designs of course. :)

You'll just need the 'washi tapes' , a phone case and a cutter to tape your way to a new phone case!!! :'>

Here's the end result on my phone case!! since i looove aqua. :)

My own pair of the infamous Bart shorts! and online shopping.

So online shopping is very popular these days and people are getting quite into it. With all the social media sites we have right now like facebook and instagram, one shopper could easily look for the clothing item they would want to buy with reasonable prices in SOME online stores. I decided to check out some of these online stores. The items they have are really the basic ones but you could spot a thing or two that isn't found everywhere else.

PRO/s on online stores:
-i think there is only one reason for these online stores to be okay and that is...

  • CONVENIENCE. you wouldn't go through each rack just to find the one thing you would want. (but for me that's the essence of shopping! to be able to go through every single rack and feel good when you found something nice/perfect)
CON/s on online stores:
  • SIZING. the sizes is a major problem with online stores because you couldn't really try them on and see if it fits like a glove on you!!!
  • 'SUITING'. you'll never know if a particular clothing even suits you well! especially with the new styles we have right now like the peplum top/skirts, skater skirts, crop tops and the shoulder cut out shirts. We all must agree that not every style suits our body type.
  • SHIPPING. I hate online stores who adds a shipping fee aside from the total you're paying for the items because it's just a waste of money when you could probably go to a store and pay for the items you actually bought ONLY..
  • MEET-UPS. regarding meet ups, I've tried this just recently and it's a fail once again. meet ups can be dangerous so you have to meet up at a place you are comfortable with or bring along someone to go with you. and of course we're in this beautiful country. people tend to be LATE ALWAYS. for people like me who hates people being late even for a minute, i wouldn't go for this either.
*MY ADVICE IS TO BETTER SHOP IN ACTUAL STORES. once you know where to find the great deals out there, you'll never go back to online shopping.*

AS FOR MY BART SHORTS. :'>
I was actually so excited to have this! I waited an hour because they said they'll release the pics on a specific time, but NOO. they're late again for an hour but i still waited and then i finally texted them for the item! It actually wasn't that cheap either for a pair of shorts that is.

these are what my Bart shorts look like!
They are longer than what they look like on picture and when worn.
(front)
(back)

This is a size 28 like what i usually am with shorts, but when i tried them on, they didn't fit me!!! they were HUGE. i need to cut off at least 2 inches on the waist... but it was my fault because i didn't think about the fact that it is high-waisted so the sizing should really be smaller.

I'm planning to resell this if there are any takers, and it'll be like a bidding. message me your price through facebook, twitter or even on my instagram.

Good news to all Taft students/coffee lovers!!!! :)

Just a while ago i was passing by Seattle's Best Coffee ( the one along College of Saint Benilde main campus) after class, i noticed the baristas outside and promoting the Buy 1 Take 1 promo they're having, and as soon as i heard the they have the promo it got me interested!!! there was NO LONG LINE.

  • It really started yesterday and it'll end tomorrow May 29! (DON'T FORGET TO GET ONE TOMORROW) it's a 3-day event.
  • only at Taft branch!
  • The promo is from 12-2pm as i recall (not so sure about the 12) and you can get any drink from there Javakula selection except the Coffee Jelly which was kinda sad. but anyhow!! it's still good!
  • You could choose a different drink on your take 1 and a different size too!
  • The amount you pay would be the higher amount as always.
  • The drinks from the Javakula selection are: (the ones i remember)
    •  Double Chocolate Mint Javakula
    • Orange White Chocolate (sounds really interesting)
    • Java Chip
    • Javanilla
    • Mocha
I got the Double Chocolate Mint because I'm a big fan of MINTY flavors! :)

and here's my reciept! I only paid for the higher price which was the Double Chocolate Mint! :)

GRAB THE OPPORTUNITY TOMORROW IF YOU HAVEN'T!

OMG nail polishes that i got and MORE! :)

So just recently i got these polishes and other nail art stuff for FREE. :) so i don't really know how much they are in stores... but i'm sure they are pretty affordable~

let's start with the polishes:

 From left to right:

  • Gossip (MINT.)
  • Prom Queen (lilac color)
  • Bunny (super cute name for a polish, more on the cotton candy pink)
  • Bikini (more on the dark pink)
  • Salsa (now this is the reddess that it can get!)
  • Jive (love this one! i don't have any polish similar to this)
  • Gold Digger (really looks like gold with a little shimmer in the polish itself)
I actually tried every single one of these and have them captured on photo but it doesn't come out the way i wanted it to and just doesn't give much justice to the polishes. :( but i assure you they all look great!

These ones are me so-called enhancers! :)
Lets again start from left to right:

  • Colorless (of course this is essential)
  • Matte Potion (very very useful because you wouldn't want to buy every color in matte polish)
  • Strobe ( it has these plastic looking bits and pieces that would go very well with a plain dark polish)
  • Disco Ball (this is similar with the Strobe but is has more shine to it with green and gold bits)
  • Champagne (a very very light and pale pink)
  • Tiara (similar with Champagne just that its in blue)
  • Nude (i have been wanting a nude polish but i just didn't know which shade to choose and this is perfect because it just says nude! no more no less!! )
Other things i got!!

Simple glitters in: Green, Gold,Pink, Light Pink, Light Blue, Orange, Silver,Red to add to your nail arts!! :)

I also got these brushes for a more intricate details for my nail arts!! (been wanting theseee!!!!)

More dotters for meee!! ( I've already got like 8 dotters now!) :>

THAT'S EVERYTHING I GOT!!! HOPE YOU ENJOYED. :)

DIY nails using the Sally Hansen salon effects!

School starts for me next week so i planned on getting my nails done today since its already long and it doesn't really look good without polish!! So let's get started!

Materials i used:

  • Sally Hansen salon effects polish strips (these makes life so much easier!)
  • BK base coat (2 for 90php)
  • BK orange polish (2 for 50php)
  • BK top coat (2 for 90php)
But inside the Sally Hansen box, i got:

  • 16 Nail sticker strips in different sizes.
  • Mini file
  • Buffer
  • Cuticle stick
First things first!! always put a top coat before applying polish because it really helps your nails be healthy! especially when you get your nails done frequently like i do and finish it off with your top coat... then leave one fingernail unpolished where you want your nail sticker to go.

To put on nail sticker, just follow these simple steps!

The finish product!!! and my nails for the week.. :)

IMPORTANT REMINDER: DO NOT PUT TOP COAT ON YOUR NAIL STICKER.

Loreal Ombre Kit in Feria review on Asian black hair!

This is my first ever blog post!!! so i wanted to talk about how i've always wanted to try to ombre my hair! but getting it to a lighter shade wasn't my first option... i wanted to do it aqua! like this:
but then i consulted salons and they said these kinds of hair wont last me very long... around a month and my hair would turn to white because of the bleach that will be used but i didn't lose hope! i researched more about having ombre hair and i came across The L'oreal Ombre Kit!
My mom went to New York and so i asked her to buy me this! since it's not available in the Philippines!!! (what a shocker) I got it for medium to dark brown hair.

The box includes:
  • shimmering lightening creme
  • conditioning shampoo
  • expert brush (which i forgot to include in the picture)
  • shimmering developing creme
  • shimmering bleaching powder
  • the instructions of course!!

So this is the effect it left on my hair after i let it stay for about 40 minutes! i have black hair and so at first i thought it wouldn't really work out because all the reviews i read they all had at least dark brown hair, and nothing beats black hair!! but gladly it worked for me!!!

I really love how it turned out!!! It also didn't do any damage to my hair as much as i'm concerned and it certainly didn't made my hair dry specially on the ends.

Facts:
  • Make sure to NOT close the bottle for a long time. i was too lazy to read and UNDERSTAND the instruction so i left the bottle closed and it burst. i had to clean the floor and the mirrors of out bathroom. :(
  • The shampoo/conditioner smells soooo good!!!! <3
  • Never leave the substance on your hair for more than 45 min!!!!! (i was paranoid with this a lot~)
  • PLANNING ON REPURCHASING THIS IF ANYONE IS GOING TO THE US SOON! :>
